Okay, sooooo, we are back. Wait, did you even notice we were gone? Not gone, as in we've actually gone far beyond our new digs. As in a certain jet lagged 18 mo old (who doesn't mind screaming for 3 hours straight) who kept us on our toes for the last week. Gordon pretty much got back on his routine after 6.5 days and a healthy does of ni-ni juice. Pretty good timing since 2 over-tired mamas and one screaming, overtired tot equals not a fun household. Luckily the other 3 kiddos got adjusted pretty quickly.
We have ventured out a bit. I mean, we did find the Super Walmart of France. The Carrefour Hypermarche. And squeezed in a lunch at le Golden Arches. And today we hit downtown Bordeaux and got some time in along the Garonne River. There was a great park (come on, with 4 kids, this is our go to) where we got some energy out.
Tomorrow we are probably going to hit the zoo. That is, if we can get ourselves together in order to get out of the house in time to get there and get in enough time there before a meltdown ensues. Fingers crossed. Wish us luck.
Enjoy some pics of our week...

Our side street

Casey enjoying the outrageous hail storm. Neighbors said they have never seen anything like it either. And yes, she is in her pajamas.

Hail anyone?

Just one of our "after the kids go to bed" snack plates. Not too shabby.

Our front door

Charlene and baby Claire on the riverfront

Casey doing schoolwork. We were working on figuring out what time it was in California. She was using items to subtract from each other.

Enjoying a pastry and some Orangina.
